Jeroen is a co-founder and partner in the firm, covering the full range of soft intellectual property rights, market practices, unfair competition and advertising law. He advises on contentious and non-contentious matters, negotiates and drafts agreements and transactions. Widely regarded as a seasoned litigator in court, Jeroen has represented clients in IP enforcement, opposition and cancellations actions before all levels of Belgian courts, the Benelux Office, the Benelux Court of Justice, the EU Intellectual Property Office and EU courts. 

Highlights include a number of milestone cases defended before the General Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union, in particular in parallel import matters, trade mark and design cases. Representations include a wide portfolio of SME’s, national and multinational clients, ranging from food and beverage, retail and luxury goods, pharmaceuticals, fashion and design, automotive, chemicals and the building industry. Jeroen is a frequent speaker at seminars and regularly publishes articles and books on topics of intellectual property rights (including “The Likelihood of Confusion in Trade Mark Law – A Practical Guide to the Case-Law of EU Courts”, edited by Wolters Kluwer, 2020).
